Nicole Ari Parker (born Nicole Ari Parker) is an American actress who works in the fields of film, television and the theatre. Her most well-known role is Teri Joe the fiery lawyer in The Showtime series Soul Food. Nikki Kodjoe became her stage name upon her marriage. Her birthplace and childhood was in Baltimore Maryland. In her early years as a child, she displayed an interest in acting and was awarded the Best Actress Award in the Maryland High School Contest. The family was born from Mumbai, India and raised in Nigeria from the age of seven. Contractor was well-informed about the world and an array of different cultures from a young age. It is a place which allows just four men and eight women can take the 20-week crash training in classical theater.
